St. Croix River - Wisconsin
Boat Info
240 Sundancer 2000
Engines
5.7 EFI w/Bravo II Drive
Hello all -

I'm gazing out across the St. Croix river which is covered with 2-3 ft of ice but I'm really seeing our 240 Dancer cruising past the heron rookery near Stillwater, MN in June. Must be the cold meds that I'm taking.

I miss the SRO forum and I'm glad that CSR has come along to replace it. I've learned much from the folks at SRO and here and appreciate your insights. I finally took the time to join today.

If we're lucky, I'll be under the boat putting on bottom paint in just 3 more months!

Jim

Welcome to the board. Glad to see you made it here.
Hey...nice boat  Let's see them pics.

Pictures?? Right now the scene on the St. Croix looks like the set from Grumpy Old Men...There are about 30 ice fishing shacks with 10 pickup trucks around them. Ah, Sunday afternoons in January.

I'll try to post a few pics from an earlier, warmer time but I've never posted a picture here so it may not work. At least it was refreshing to go back and look at water in the liquid phase.

Jim

Welcome Aboard  . Post some pics of your boat in the virtual marina :smt024 .

Welcome to CSR, glad you have found us. 2 to3 feet of ice, that just is not nice. It is cold enough here this morning with the wind chill that the little puddles of water have a thin skin of ice forming, I don't think I would like what you have. :smt009

Thanks to all for your WARM welcome  It's great to hear from boaters in the south during our Wisconsin winters. Midway, be careful of that ice forming on the puddles - don't want you to slip and drop your anchor!

I look forward to exchanging views with the other members and, esp, to the ice breaking up in April. Until then -

Jim

Welcome! :smt038 Love your stretch of river! How did you ever get that sandbar all to yourself? Let me guess, during the week
