Closed on a new-to-us 2000 Sea Ray 340 Friday. Hauled her 4 hours south from Walker MN to Stillwater MN this morning and now she’s comfortably on the beautiful St Croix River.

We’ve always boated with family, and last year belonged to a boat club which definitely had its perks but we are so excited to be on the river any time we want!

Thank you for all the info on this site! It’s been invaluable and reading it has filled most of my evenings for the past month.

If I’ve learned one thing here, it’s that it didn’t happen unless there were pictures...

sweeeet! welcome!

Welcome, I saw your boat being delivered on my Sunday morning run. We slip out of Bayport Marina. Enjoy the new boat!

Thanks everyone!

@Zach312 I saw your post on owning vs renting a slip. I wanted to comment but felt I was too new here to do so. My father bought a slip at Sunnyside in the early 1980’s. In ailing health, he sold his beloved blue-hulled Pacific Trawler two years ago. He passed away a year ago and we’ve been left with a hole in our hearts but also a hole in the water that was begging to be filled again. No doubt he got his money’s worth by purchasing that slip 35+ years ago but he also left my husband and I with the opportunity to purchase something larger than our 17 aluminum fishing boat. With any luck, we have many years of memories ahead of us with our daughter and someday she can continue that legacy with her family. As you mentioned, prices may go up or down, but there can be other benefits to owning as well.
