Hey guys!

New member here but not to the boating community or sea Ray family. I have been boating the upper Chesapeake bay and it’s rivers since I was a kid. Have had many boats over the years but currently have a sea Ray 245 weekender. And soon to have a 380 sundancer (if all goes well), which is why I signed up on this forum. We really want to stretch the boats legs and travel more around the area and further. Which is going to lead to me having lots of questions and learning experiences here in the near future.

Looking forward to all the insight and knowledge I’m sure I am gonna find on here.
Thanks guys!
P

Welcome!

Welcome to CSR and good luck with the 380 purchase. Lots of knowledgeable people on here so fire away with your questions.

Oh, and we all like to see photos of your boat.

Thanks guys! I will Work on getting some pics of my boat and hope to be new to me boat soon.

Lots of places to visit as you know. We love hanging out on the Bohemia River and Still Pond and of course the Chesapeake Inn is a fantastic place to visit for food, drinks, live music, etc.

Congrats on the 380, they're great boats.
There's a model specific thread for the 380 in the yachts / sport yacht section, you'll get a ton of great info there

Congrats on the 380, just purchase one myself in Kent Island, what year is she?

Love your username by the way, will that be the name of your boat?

Yep yep! Haven’t been to still pond but it’s in my list. But love traveling to st Michaels and Annapolis as well. Just great trips in my opinion.

That’s awesome! I will definitely be picking your brain for some pointers and insight I am sure. She is a 2009 with 496 HO, seacore salt water drives, and the axius joystick system. And yes that is the name we plan on giving her if all goes well in the upcoming weeks.

Welcome, we visit Havre de Grace once or twice a season. Just a short run for us from the Bohemia River but a great little town.

Congrats from Charm City. Grew up in Bel Air. We visit HdG by boat each year, staying at Tidewater. Wish we didn’t have to go through so much dam debris at the entrance to the marina! Seems to collect right in front. But enjoy the town. Welcome!

Thanks everyone! I hope to make it down the Bo more this summer and also try and take a trip down to Ocean City for the air show possibly.

If all goes well she will be slipped in log pond marina which is next to tidewater so hopefully we don’t have the same debris issue. But that’s all dependent on Mother Nature and the great Conowingo dam. I have had my boat in havre de Grace yacht basin for years and luckily it doesn’t get too clogged up with debris but the grass and depth were always an issue. They claimed to have dredged it over the off season but they didn’t have anything available. So we are gonna try log pond and see how it works.
