Hello all. I am a new member located in central texas. I have been looking for a sea ray boat for a long time, and I thnk I found one, but I need a VERY honest opinion.

This is a 2006 Sea Ray 205 Sport. It has 1300 hours on the hull and was used as a rental boat. The exterior is missing graphics, but appears to be in otherwise good shape. Doesnt look like anyone hit anything, or beached the boat etc. The original motor died, and was replaced....replaced, not re-built, as well as the stern drive about 100 hours ago. Could use a new prop. Includes the custom snap on cover, and the bimini top with cd player. Snap in carpet is there. Missing some studs for the snaps, but those are cheap. Mechanically, it checks out to be in average to excellent condition. Exterior I would mark as average. Interior vinyl will need work. Vinyl is very faded and dirty. Looks like it has spent most of its life uncovered. For the most part the vinyl has no tears, but there are a few issues here and there.

If you were to buy this boat what would you say it is worth private party? Is it worth $12,500 including the tandem axle trailer?

I have no idea on that particular model boat. I will say this, I would run very far away from it. I wouldn't buy a formerly rented car, and I certainly wouldn't buy a formerly rented boat.
The replaced engine and outdrive are great, but those are a lot of hours on a hull that has most likely seen a rough existance.
Just my opinion, as I say I have no facts to back this up. Boats are complicated and heavy on maintenance. Buying one that served in a rental capacity would make me very nervous.
