Hello all,
I am a new member of CSR and a new Sea Ray owner. Our new-to-us boat is this little gem we picked up in August. The wonderful prior owners kept it immaculate and gave us an offer we couldn't refuse! Here are a few photos of it on the Keweenaw waterway in our home town of Hancock, Michigan. I've enjoyed the endless amount of information on this site and have been reading it since September. I promise I won't ask about portable generators! ;)

Aww go ahead... I have plenty of popcorn...

Nice looking boat!

Thanks, and no, won't bring up the generator again. The whole thing did make me chuckle though....

Welcome, Cap'n Randall! Enjoy!

Sweet ride:cool:

Capn, welcome to CSR. I've been through your town but it was about a hundred years ago. Nice looking boat, and how about some pics of you and your family using it on Lake Superior?

Awesome boat! A portable genny would be great but for safety sake paint it white and put a “marine” decal on it !

Congrats again!

Josh

Welcome aboard. Great looking boat.

When I was a little kid my parents would take us up to my Uncle's hunting lodge near Steuben MI. We went 3 summers in a row. They had 1,000 acres, 2 lakes and an old army jeep that my Uncle would drive us around in. Every morning my uncle would come back from fly fishing. He would have a bunch of trout in his fishing wicker basket.

I think it was called the Little Indian Hunting Lodge. Located near Little Indian River.

I loved going up to the UP.

Thanks to everyone for the words of welcome. This is going to be a loooong winter waiting for the ice to clear. Our 300 is 21 years old but literally looks brand new. What I've noticed in the short time of owning, researching and paying attention to Sea Rays is that they seem to hold up better than other brands. It's that or it's a special brand of people who own them and take care if them. Either way, we got a a great floater that we are so happy with. A side note, I come from a long line of boaters but my family has mostly been 'classic' boat owners and we are a Chris-Craft family through and through. I half-jokingly mentioned to my wife that I may be shunned by pulling up in a Sea Ray! That didn't happen of course, but boat owners are very loyal to their brand. The Portage shipping canal and Portage Lake are great boating areas. From day-tripping, to fishing to week long trips to Isle Royale, it's all available to us. Our family's maiden voyage will be to Isle Royale the second week of June. We only got a couple weeks of use this fall so not many photos yet. This one is of my middle daughter at the helm. We were settling in for the sun set on Lake Superior just north of the Portage Canal's North entry. I look forward to learning more form all of you in the future!

Congrats, welcome and Merry Christmas! Boat looks great for the age. I am sure it's going to be a long winter waiting for the spring.

No I'm not, I recognized the background in your pictures. I'm at the county marina.
H&Y doesn't quite have the amenities of the County marina but there are good people there and its a nice atmosphere.

I've lived in the UP my whole life and actually never been to that area.

Less amenities?:) We have a dock and a bathroom, I can see you have a dock....does that mean no bathroom?

We go out to the island a couple times a summer. Haven't explored most of it yet. I hit rocks out there and have been probably overly cautious since. Beautiful out there when the bugs aren't unzipping the canvas trying to get in.
