Presently own a 1992 Sea Ray 180 BR with a 4.3 Alpha 1. Not my first boat but the first for my wife and kids and they are having a ball tubing and trying to ski. I have been a Sea Ray fan for years and couldn't get my wife to trade/sell this bowrider for twice what we paid for it.

Welcome to CSR. Give her some time and she will be wanting a bigger boat in no time. Getting the wife interested in boating is sometimes the hard part. Good luck, Brian

Welcome. I had the same boat with a 3.0L until end of last season!
She was great to me. You guy's will have a blast with it.

A pleasure to meet you all. A funny thing that, getting the approval of the significant other. Two years ago my BIL had a buddy with a 1989 Sorrento that was garage kept, had low hours, and this gentleman had kids who had outgrown boating. The price he was asking was so low it would have had me in the confessional for stealing. When I tried to show the she devil the pics he had e-mailed me, the wife wouldn't even look at the pics. One day when the sun was a bit warm we were at the local gas station when 2 ladies and about 5 kids came in and had a tube tied on a small Bayliner. Their enthusiasm must have been contagious as that planted the seed and the rest is history. Luckily here there are quite a few places to go boating. Yes Thunderbird1 we frequent Lucky Peak, enjoy staying at the campground across from Spring Shores Marina and also run up with just the wife and I to sit in the Sea Ray and relax and watch the sunset. We have also camped at Sugarloaf campground at Lake Cascade ( our favorite) which has a boat ramp. Day trips to Black Canyon Resevoir with friends who prefer it to LP.
