As I said, we have a great group on the 'R' Dock.
We have all been together for about 10 years now.
And usually have something going every weekend, weather permitting.

With gas prices the way they are, we will all be spending a lot of time on the docks and using our dinghys to get around.
 
Welcome aboard! I'm originally from Chi town. There is a good reason I'm from there! It's 12 months of boat-able weather. Will be back visiting in July, Go SOX!!!

Welcome to the board, great boat, great location...and I'm here in Michigan on totally dry land.... Imagine that..... Well his board is the most informative board I've seen, sorry bout your gass guzzlers.... I have 350 mags.... they do so well and they don't eat that much Gas..... just a bit ya know...Amybe we'll meet on the water this summer...We always are on Lake Michigan... it's the best in the world.....

I've been known to down a couple, so be prepared to come down the dock to raid my stash as well!

That sounds like a plan. i get over to MI pretty frequently. Been on the poker runs there in Grand Haven. Really pretty and there is this show that they give on the river there with a talking mountain. Thats really nice too! Freind of mine has a house in St. Joe right on the lake, so I spend alot of time there to. Are you close to these areas?

Sorry for late reply. That is funny - I got mine from winthop harbour too - that photo looks "BF" (before fire...) at Skipper's..

I sold me 360 and got the 420. Been pretty happy..But, can always go bigger :)

So you are at Hammond - is that right where the horse shoe is? If so - I will be there soon! I have been saying for years I want to go down and do a little gambl'n there - via boat :)
 
Glad to have your on the board. You will meet some great people here. Now excuse me for saying this but, judging by this guy " Cutting Edge's" Picture of his props. He may wobble a bit but, he gets around. ( I was too embarassed to put the picture of mine out for every one to see.) Just dont follow us ( Cuttin Edge or Escapade ) any where! Sorry Jared.

Have they finished the gambling boat enough to reopen the marina?? I was in J dock year before last, but opted not to renew this year because I really didn't think they would be done. Have they reinstalled all of the south end docks??

Yep! Marina is schedulled to open May 1st. They removed all slips south of main dock. Everything else is the same. Of course, the yacht club was demolished. Word is that they are going to rebuild it by the admin building.

Also a new Chicago member - I used to post on the old SRO forum occasionally. This will be my 8th season. First 3 in Burnham Harbor and in Diversey Harbor ever since.
 
farr - where are you in Diversey? We are also in Diversey, on "D". Sounds like we're in for some changes. New harbor master this season.

Stay away from Gary too. He has T.E., has been skipping his court ordered anger management classes, gets out of control and likes seat covers for his boat that are designed for nursing home chairs. Welcome. We used to live and boat in Chicago. Kept our boat at Montrose Harbor. Great port.
