turns out , 2 freeze plugs are missing , block is cracked, so it sucking air,, creating a vacuum , so dies when it goes in gear,, quite sad only has 278 hours on rebuild , but that is the mentality of people , to cheap to pay to get it winterized,, so they will take a catastrophic loss on it when i pick them up , thank goodness for cheapwads,, they sure give me a nice life,, and this cool boat ,, i had intended on putting outboard on it , i absolutely despise inboards, and especially hate fords ,if im forced to have an inboard,, it would be chevy,, either straight inboard, or outboard, positively no outdrives,, nothing is worse and more problems and difficult to work on ,, outboards are so easy to work on and quickly replace if need be,, since that is what i do for a living , this will be my personal boat i will use mostly for fishing, specifically trophy catfish and stripers,, but mostly trophy world class catfishing ,, target the ones over 50lbs......anyway tight lines and thanks for the help,,,,i have a full marine 302 ford /188hp everything , just needs to a new block , still has good compression even! and 888 out drive for sale
