Hello,

I have mounted new manifolds, risers, full flow gaskets as it was before, new exhaust hoses, new waterpump with impeller and so on.. on both my engines.

I have a half closed coolingsystem

At start up my port engine got seawater flow in about 4 seconds.

My starboard engine diden't get any flow so i stopped the engine after 10sec and disconnected the hose to the oil cooler and there you heard the air pushed out and after that i got flow.

The thing is that the waterflow still is a little little weeker than the port engine. And the SB riser is warmer the the port riser but there you have the oilfilter mounted witch lead som heat ( cant have my hand on that mount to warm)
The engine temp is at idel around 75C and on fast mode around 80C.
Im worried that the SB engine' SB riser is going to hot.. while under load.

What do you think?

What about your thermostats?
Well the other riser on the same engine is colder and they both gets the same seawater, i dont think my seawater passes the thermostat just the oil and heat exchanger that should make them into the same tempature.

Im going to test so they get the same water pressure on each side.

On all Mercruiser engines, one riser is hotter than the other, has to do with the way water flows through the system. However, you should be able to lay your hand on either manifold. On mine, the STB manifold is cool to the touch and the Port is about 20deg warmer, I can easily lay and leave my hand on either one.

Yeah, that seems to be right, on my other engine the SB riser is the warmest also and both my SB riser i have my warm oilfilter mounted, that one is hot!

In idel and slowspeed they are hand warm but how warm should do they get in fastspeed? Still hand warm?
