My name is Joe, just joined up here and this is my first post.

I had a 84 25' Sea Ray amberjack a few years back and just took possession of an 88 Sea Ray Amberjack 27ft. I love the amberjack model as you can tell. I am the type of guy who loves to boat and fish. I buy my boats that need work so its a project for me and my boys.

Good to meet everyone

Hello Everyone!
It's my first posting. I just bought 2007 Amberjack 290 with twin 350's V drive.
I am having issues with Smart Craft system with all kinds sounds. I suppose i need to have qualified tech to take a look. My main concern is wet carpet inside. I can't seem to find where the source is from....Any Advise?

cbae, is it the carpet down in the cabin that is wet? If so you will want to make sure it's not coming up throug the bilge hatches. Check your windows to make sure they don't leak down the side of the hull onto your floor, check your bow rail embedment to make sure water is not entering there and also see if the water may be fresh and coming from your water tank or a water line somewhere. Learn how do do searches and you will find a number of threads on wet carpet in the cabin issues.

Thanks for the welcome-Waiting now for warmer weather to start working on it... I had my boat down the rjersey shore stored and I thought it would have been destroyed from sandy, but to my surprise it was still blocked up in the same spot.. other were not so lucky

Welcome, good luck on the leak hunt!
