Finished the deal on a 1984 Monaco 207 last weekend, and will have it delivered this coming Saturday.

It's been owned by the same guy for the last 15 or so years, and was always kept, serviced, and stored at the marina I bought it at. The previous owner upgraded to something a little more comfortable to sleep on, and it's been sitting in storage for about a year and a half.

I have no pics of my own yet, it's pretty dirty from sitting and really needs a good cleaning first. The guy took really good care of it, it looks like it'll shine up real nice.

Have two other boaters in the immediate family, one brother has an older 18' Bayliner bass boat and one has a newer 34' Chapparal cruiser (cuddy? is there even a difference?) and I finally caved in and bought one of my own.

These are from the broker's ad, but I guess were taken right before it was put into storage

And the thing that really sold me on this boat in particular:

Welcome aboard. We're practically neighbors.
Which lake or river will you be doing your boating?
Good luck with your new boat and enjoy!

Welcome aboard where do you boat?
I am mostly in the Hudson River

Wecome aboard, nice boat and very nice camper package, is it original or have you had to replace it, they did a great job at storing it to keep it mint.

Thanks everyone!

I'm almost certain I'll be keeping it on the Hudson at Lock One Marina down in Waterford, it's only about a 5 minute drive from my house. I still need to get down there and get a slip sometime this week

The camper top was a recent addition but looks brand new. I found out yesterday that a guy I work with has a boat at the same marina I bought mine from. He said the previous owner of my boat used to sleep under the cockpit cover for the longest time, until he finally broke down and got a camper top a few years ago.

Welcome aboard. Good to see another Mcville boater in the club. We're looking forward to getting the boat onto the river soon too - we keep it up at the Admirals in Stillwater. If you aren't "locked in" at Lock One you might think about Admirals - a nice lock-free long run up to Schuylerville - plenty of places to just hang out, fish, ski, or whatever. Either way hope you have a great season and maybe we'll see you up at Cucamunga sometime...

Whoops, forgot about this thread 'til now. I already had the slip at Lock One when i posted, it was the cheapest dockage I could find and I figured i'd go cheap my first season just to make sure it's something I'm gonna enjoy.

I'll probably be up in your neck of the woods sometime this weekend, my brother usually camps out at the rod & gun club for memorial day and I'm sure i'll spend some time there.

Any thoughts on places to see or things to do? What/where's Cucamunga? The only place to hang out that I've found people talking about so far was Kingston/Rondout Creek. We were thinking of heading down there Sat., heading back up to the rod & gun club Sun., then just cruising north for a couple hours before turning back and going home to waterford. Would love to have some more specific destinations to head to instead of just aimlessly cruising and wasting gas
