New Guy and very angry.....

I guess honesty comes into play here. If I have a buyer signing a purchase agreement for a boat I will usually have them submit the offer in writing but hold back the deposit until a number is agreed upon unless I am sure the number is going to work or I think that the buyer and seller are close. I sometimes will add stipulations on how long the buyer has to submit a deposit after an offer is accepted. It all depends on the situation.

Ray,
I would gladly purchase a boat through you. You were more help to me than the anybody!

mj - Hang in there.

It's a very long freakish story, but I ended up getting my boat from a broker who basically threw me off his lot 7 months earlier.
It's crazy sometimes how stuff works out. In the end, he turned out to be a great guy and I ended up with a better boat.

Finally!
O.K. I have finally completed a sale, lol. After I got over the first mess I ranted about above I was able to look and see what other boats were out there. I got a call from a broker who was closing a deal and part of that deal was a 2000 330EC. He asked me if I had any interest and told me it is a great boat and low hours. Over the past three weeks and two 2.5 hour day trips I had it completely checked out. I had a full marine survey and the engines fully inspected by a mechanic and read through a huge pile of service receipts. I just paid in full and now have my paperwork in hand. I pick it up on Friday, just in time to take it back home to get it pulled and stored for the winter. I will be looking to this forum for a ton of help in the future. Thanks for helping me hang in there.

Good things come to those who wait!

Congrats on your new baby. Now we need to see pics of her as you pick her up and go through the haulout for storage.
