I had to replace the upper helm dash panel of my 87' 300 DB because of cracking/breaking and was thinking about replacing the orig Teleflex gauges (tach, oil press, fuel, etc) while I had the thing apart. Does anyone know of replacement gauges for this vintage or will any Teleflex gauges work?

Thanks

You can replace them with Teleflex gauges. I re-built my dash a couple of years ago and used Faria gauges for a different look. Most brands will be compatible with your Teleflex senders except for VDO- they use a different resistance and require their own senders.

No affilliation, I bought mine here; good pricing and excellent service:

Any pics? I am interested. What did you replace your dash with? The PO painted all the stuff under the dash blue. I am not looking forward to that job.

Thanks-Tom

No pics yet - the whole thing is still apart. I was going to use Vector Imaging for the new dash. They're advertisers here on CSR and have been recommended by a few members.I found a website called Oldboatgauges.com and they have the gauges I need. The red and green switch lights are made by a company called Solico and they seem to have a replacement for those. I think the light tape that attaches to the back of the dash and illuminates the switch names (bilge pump, blowers, nav lights etc.) is made by a company called Light Tape. I'm not positive on this but there's a dealer here in Vancouver and I'l let you know. I'll post some pics and more info when I'm done.

Vector did a very nice replacement dash panel for me. Still looks great.
If you have a good source for the EL "light Tape" please let us know. I've been looking for a while and have not found an easy replacement. There are a couple of solutions out there, but I'm looking for a "vintage" replacement...
