Hello all,

My cousin and I just purchased a 1985 Sundancer 260 needing very minimal work (New paint, horn sounds like a Toyota Tercel and a seal are mating, cushion updates, maybe some newer "toys" as my background is AV & Electronics). Engine is sound, electronics and bilge all good, both batteries charging and holding charge.

However we have had some bad rain storms this year, i went into the Galley to find the carpeted wall and the cushions wet on the Port side from the steps to the bow. Oddly everything on the Starboard side and middle were completely dry. The floor was only wet on the bottom step, and just as you enter the bunk area. There is about 1"-2" of water in the well under the port side bow bed. Looks like it has been collecting little by little. The Center where the Anchor storage is kept, is very dry, and has a lot of leaves and dirt, which i am guessing the former owner had a hatch leak or non existent hatch?Anyone else have a similar issue in the past? I was thinking the seals on the window or maybe a small rip in the canvas or camper canvas? Anxious to get this resolved or under control before drop her in the water next week.

Anyway - Hello to everyone and thanks in advance

Rob

Your leaks could be a number of things... bow rail stanchions, port window seals, windshield mounting screws, hatch(s), or rub rail mounting.

Good luck and welcome to CSR!
