I'm told ours was a Sea Ray installed setup. Hinged at the front edge of the arch, electric rams mounted in the two storage compartments immediately below the arch connections. It certainly looks factory. You can't see anything external except the front edge of the hinge. Barely visible. Standard switch at the helm. Works like a charm. Since I never go up into Smith's....or anywhere else with low bridges....it never get's used! And it's kind of a pain to move the arch at any rate. Canvas supports become a problem...
I am at Tower (over 10 years), which is across lake kalamazoo from down town. If you want to be closer to the downtown action then sergeants or saugatuck yacht service would be my choice.
I am told (by Sea Ray) that they never built these arches but i have found the company that most likely did ours. as well as yours. They are based out of Florida
Skipper Buds was the source of my info regarding it being a factory option. Makes no difference to me, however. I've never actually used mine...though it is a neat feature.
