Just wanted to introduce ourselves. Jim and Aleecia from Atlanta. Just bought our first boat a few months ago. 2002 340 sundancer. Love the boat only had her out 2 times. Dry docked now in Alabama as we are trying to relocte in Fl. Love reading the forum and get alot of info since we really don't know much and have a ton to learn. We bought that size boat hoping we won't have to buy a bigger one soon. Don't know if that was the best thing to do or not, guess we will find out soon enough. Any way thanks for all the info on the forum. Jim

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum.

I don't think you will regret buying the 340. It's a great boat and in many ways, except for it's size, it's easier to maneuver than some smaller boats because of the twin engines.

Great boat! Funny, in the same way you went to the 340, we bumbed "way" up to the 24 foot so we would not be upgrading for awhile :grin: Welcome!

Well the ruling is that if you wrap your wallet around the largest boat you can handle then you won't be dealing with 2 footitus later on at a more expensive rate. The 340 is a very very nice size boat for a couple. Congratulations on your purchase. :thumbsup:

Looking real strongly in Punta Gorda, maybe Cape Coral. Going back down there at the end of month to check out some more spots. Its awful hard having the boat just sitting there and not being able to use it.
