I just Read Wesley's request to stay on topic in threads. His reasoning struck home, as I was just searching for "Dinghy" stuff. It seems that there are Many Dinghy discussions spread around the board. What I'm really asking is: Does anyone else, besides myself, feel that CSR could support a dedicated "Dinghy" Forum... :huh: ..????? We could discuss and exchange knowledge on....davits, mounts, types (Rib, soft bottom, airdeck,) sizes, motors, etc.etc....

Any thoughts....????
 
Man... I think this is a good idea... but I'm having a hard time holding back on the smart comments I could make here... help me...

Ok.. just one.. "we can all sit around talking about who's dinghy is bigger and that kind of stuff... nice."

It is a good idea though (the forum.. not the smart comments)

Maintaining a dinghy is actually a lot of work. I know on mine I've added enough stuff that it is now a boat in itself (VHF radio, etc.)

So.. who do we have to pay?
 
I will start a dinghy thread..but I am a firm believer of not having too many topics. If there are too many topics then many of them will not be active. It is way worse to have inactive topics than topics with too much info. Some website split the discussion up into to many sections: General discussion, props, canvas discussion for Tuesday, blue bottom paint, etc and They go begging for activity...know what I mean :smt017
 
You know how some things just strike you and make you laugh.....well .....Four Suns.....I laughed out loud when I read your post.....I'm just glad I didn't have a mouth full of milk, or else I'd be sending my laptop in for service........and honestly, it has nothing to do about the size of anyone's boat....it was just....funny....


And Jim, I agree....we don't want a ton of forums with no activity.....let's give it a try...for a say a month or so...and then we can decide what to do with it then.....maybe open a Trial Forum section......

My Dinghies are 2 Jet Skies with our 42" draft on the SunDeck there is a lot of places we can't go.
