Hi All, time to replace the glass between the window and hardtop. Thinking of using either ECY2C or Rainer. Anyone have any thoughts.

If you leave it up I recommend the new, thin plex-glass like material. Is that one of those listed? It's clear like glass and more durable than eisenglass. It can not be rolled up.

I replaced everything from the arch to the windshield with a hard plastic that is 100 optically correct and absolutely love it. The hard plastic looks like thin Lexan but is soft enought to be sewn with normal sewing machines and needles. The clear is sewn to Sunbrella edgins so it fits just like factory canvas only you can see thru it with no distortion. Ask your canvas guy for Makrolon. Here:

Makrolon cannot be rolled; it must be stored flat.

The remainder of my canvas clear panels are Strataglass so they can be rolled up and stored.

Doozie, I was also thinking of doing this when my eisenglass starts going, I was going to go with EZ2CY. I also want to look into this "Makrolon". Have you gotten any pricing yet? I know the EZ2CY isn't cheap stuff and you also can't roll it like Frank W. mentioned, but I find I don't ever take mine off.

I have talked to 2 canvas people one does ECY2C, one does the Rainer. Frmo what Read on the website fwebster provided the Rainer is similar. The Rainer though is welded to the canvas, no stitching to break or leak. I looked at 48SB, the other day, it was real clear. I also see where Sea Ray is using it also. Either way they are around 4,800. Probably make my mind up this week. Thanks all for the input.

The previous owner installed the EZ2CY on my 410DA. I also never remove the glass. The center section zips out easily or I can un-zip the two sides and the bottom zippers and snap it to the bottom of the arch. When I look through the EZ2CY it is clearer than looking through the windshield.

I don't know what it cost, but to me, it was worth every penny that Sea Gull paid....
