Hey Guys,

just wanted to introduce myself since I am roaming a lot here.
I am from Canada (Quebec) since almost 10 years and was born and lived in France before that. I owned a couple of boats :
Rio 500 Honda
Rio 550 Cruiser
Chaparral 270 Signature 2007
Chaparral 290 Signature 2004

I always wanted a Sea Ray even back then when I was living in France and now I have one :D

Sea Ray 310 Signature 2014 - 2x 350 Mag + Bravo 3 - Axius/Skyhook :

I am planning to tow it from Quebec to Florida Keys on a 15k capable 2017 Load Rite Trailer (http://www.loadrite.com/spec-sheet-generation/?sheet_id=2853&sheet_model=LR-AB32R15000102TB3) behind a 2017 Dodge RAM 3500 Dually 6.7 Cummins Laramie Limited Mega Cab.

Glad to be here (Excuse the crappy English but as you have already guessed it is not my first language :x)

Welcome to CSR!

That's a beautiful boat. You'll love the Keys. Your English wasn't a problem, you did well. The tow vehicle is also outstanding. Enjoy your new boat!

Thanks, I took my Chap 290 last year down there and we had a blast, so much that we want to go there every year for a couple of years lol.

I am kind of RAM guy, Owned a 2011 1500 Crew Cab Sport, a 2500 2015 Mega Cab Laramie Black Edition and now the one I always wanted, the 3500 Dually :D (love it)

I just purchased the boat but I won't be able to try it until next Spring in 7 months (Canadian Winter…) it will be an even longer winter that the others :(

Beautiful boat, sick truck. You won't have any issues towing it with that! Here's to a mild and short winter! :D

Sweet! Welcome

hey bud. My name is Ernest, I also live in QC. I am the kanawake marina on lake St Louis with a 97 400 sedanbridge being pulled by a 2015 f350 dully twice a year. Great looking gang you have there

Welcome aboard CSR. Nice truck (and that's quite a compliment coming from a Ford fan) and it should have ZERO issues pulling your boat. Travel safely when you tow, buy your permits, make sure your signs and flags are legal and you won't have any issues on the way down or back.

Oh, and great boat!

Thanks guys, just picked up the boat. I can’t wait for the winter to end:p. A couple of pictures on the way back:

Oh and if one of you is wondering one day how much a SDA 310 2014 weight, here you go :

Numbers are kilograms but it makes 14 000 lbs. The trailer is 2600 lbs (GVWR 17 600 - Carrying Capacity 15 000) which means the boat is 14000-2600 = 11 400 lbs. 13-14 gal (50 lit) of gas and all other tank were empty.

Dry weight according to Sea Ray is 11 629 lbs http://mobile.boatguideweb.com/specifications/sea_ray/sport_cruisers/310_sundancer/2014/

Pretty accurate actually if you ask me ;). With the biggest engines and every options available in the boat, I was thinking I would have been heavier though.

I have been at the scale 3 different times to be sure :x and got the same number everytime.
I won’t complain, lighter is better in my book (at least when towing).

Height is 13.5 ft on the trailer (Tv antenna removed as well as the mount for the Mercury antenna) which means I am good to go on the Interstates at least.

Hope those real life numbers could help someone someday !
