Finally got rid of the mid 80's power blue countertop and table. I replaced the countertop @ the sink with Corian and relaminated the table top. With plastic laminate this looks close to the Corian. Also decided not to put the stove back in, we use the bbq. I'm going to put the cup holders in sometime this week.

The tricky part was I used the original sink and under mounted it. But the electrical outlet got in the way. So I moved it to the backsplash and used a shallow electrical box. The interior is a little earier on the eyes now.

That looks great! I had that same table on my 1979 260 DA but it had black vinyl inlays. Nice job!

Did you perform the work on the coutertop? Or did you contract it out? Was it expensive? I love the looks.
Jim

I did all the work myself. There is one seam in the top. Corian works just like wood.
I'm going to keep the stove out, if we do any cooking we typically use the BBQ.

goodbye blue, hello sweet!

Re: looking for manual

I am starting to restor a 1986 Searay seville and trying to get a parts manual also some parts. Any help will be appreciated. THANKS

What type of parts are you looking for. I have the alpha one manual, Mercruiser manual and the sealoc manual.

Nice work! Udating is rewarding and alot cheaper than a new boat!

Now upgrade that damn radio!!!

Looks great! I do have a question though - what was the weight difference between the corian and the countertop that you removed? If it is significant will it affect the way the boat sits in the water? Like the upgrade!!

The corian is a little heavier, but not by much. I think the whole top is around 50 lbs. I did leave out the stove. I have a water tank on the starboard side that I don't use. if needed I can always add a little ballast. I won't know till I get hauled, hopefully soon.
