New Cockpit Carpert 48 Sundancer

Jon, how is this carpet holding up? Are you happy with it or do you think Nu-teek was the way to go? I dont havet the teak on the upper cockpit either and was going to install the nu-teek.
 
Plasdeck for the following reasons:
1. I don't care if my son's friend drops a whole chip with salsa on the floor anymore
2. I don't care if my daughter knocks my wife's wine glass off the cockpit table again
3. I don't care if my son doesn't take of his filthy shoes as he goes on and off the boat 100 times
4. I don't care if my son brings a jellyfish on board in his fishing net anymore
5. I don't care if the beach toys are not 100% free of sand before they come back on the boat
6. I don't care if I forget to look at my feet before taking that last step out of the bilge
7. I don't care if the mechanic puts his tools in the cockpit while he works in the bilge
8. I don't have to rush around to remove carpet when it rains
9. I don't have to find a place to put the carpet
10. I don't care if the fish blood splashes into the cockpit
11. I don't have to bring the steam cleaner to the boat anymore
12. I don't have to bring the carpets to the carpet cleaner for $120
13. I don't have to wonder how much longer the carpets will last and what it will cost to replace them

The carpet is great, it's synthetic so it doesn't absorb things like typical carpet. Its looks great, feels great, but does get hot just like Nuteak. It makes it feel a little more inviting in the cockpit vs the Nuteak, my thought. It's a heck of a lot cheaper too.

Did you go with a template and have them make the sections? Or did you lay it down with the strip rolls they sell?

I had an installer spend a full day with his assistant templating. He fabricated the sections at home and installed it over 2 days.
