New Captain on Chesapeake Bay!

It’s a party for one…..

No it is an old mariner’s tradition to celebrate spring by burning your socks. We have had it here the last two year but without the Marinas permission. This year they have taken notice of us and decided to jump onboard and sponsor it. We will have some grills going for food, everyone brings beer or what ever, and later we will have a bon fire…. Not big, but it will be a nice warm fire in a pit far away from anything. We have seveal good spots here for it.

For good luck and a safe boating season you are supposed to take off your socks and throw them on the fire.

Hello Skibum,

Like Bill said, it's first come first serve. We went to the inner harber early in the season before it becomes nuts. We were really lucky to get two spaces like we did. Once you tie up, just call the harbor services on chanel 16. We didn't have to call, they were there pretty quickly. I believe it was $15 for 4 hours.

John,

Again, like Bill said, Free beer, I'll be there! Just sayin!

Welcom Lori... I was just telling my wife this too much of a "boys club" and we need more Ladies... Thanks for bucking the trend and posting... Have boated down in your area, my favorite spot was Fair Lee creek... But that was before kids... I am sure you will get a lot of offers to help... There are some great folks in your area...

Definitely movin' on up girl - got rid of Bayliner* boyfriend and became a Sea Ray Captain. Welcome aboard and I am sure your offer to cook will not go unnoticed here.

*BTW Bayliners are not held in the highest esteem on this forum as you will eventually find out.
Hey! I'm the ex-boyfriend with the Bayliner, and I resemble that remark
