New Buffalo - where did the lake go?

Made a trip up to New Buffalo this past Saturday. I had to drop off a section of my camper canvas as the esinglass needs replacing - thanks for the info Carver370

Anyways, I went out to the beach and was amazed at the size and extent of the sand hills. Where there is typically 8-10 feet of water is now sand hills, no water, the beach is huge. What a sight to see.

Of course I never bring my camera anywhere I go, a habit I need to change, so I don't have any photo's to post

If you haven't see this, I highly recommend taking a drive to the lakefront to check it out - well worth the trip

Now you know why the eastern side of the lake is all sand, whereas the western side is nothing but rock.

That's an excellent point - never thought of that
