Hi all! I've been lurking on this forum for a while and finally decided to make my own account :)

I recently jumped in the deep end and got my first boat, Sea Ray 320/355 Sundancer. So far I've been getting some tuition on it and getting it delivered in 2 weeks. Also been planning all the changes and upgrades I want to do to make it my own.

Operating a boat this size is fairly new to me so please bear with my newbie questions if I post later!

Welcome aboard CSR. Nice boat and best of luck with her. Where are you located?

Congratulations and welcome to CSR! My first boat was a 30’ cruiser so I know how you’re feeling. The good news is I was always happier when I had to back into my slip with twins. The bad news is 20 years later and I still have trouble backing in a boat with a single engine.

I’m the opposite. Prefer a single. Twin engines, twin throttles.

I'm actually in Adelaide, not far from Melbourne.

Yeah the size is a bit intimidating, but I think the one saving grace I have is this boat does come with a bow thruster. It's made all the parks I've done so far much more manageable! But still I'll avoid windy days for the first few months I think.

It’s always windy there. Have fun you be fine. I hear the passage to Tasmania is a bitch, maybe wait a while. What you doing up in middle of night?

Got a mate, moved from Virginia US to Melbourne about 10 years ago. Met a chick in Europe. Brought her back to US. She missed family so they moved there. He happy.
I could move there but the backwards flow of the toilet would fk with my mind.

Oh the distance from the mainland to Tasmania is like 200nm, I don't think I have the fuel range to go there anyway. Will probably just end up playing in my backyard, and eventually head to Kangaroo Island which isn't too far.

Yes my sleep schedule is messed up sometimes. Probably too much boat research lol
