New Boat Owner Questions '93 SeaRay 170

Hello Everybody

I'm new to my own Boats (but have owned a watercraft in the past and rented a few out on the lakes) and therefore new to this forum. Thank you to whoever created it!

I just purchased a 1993 170 w/3.0 Mercruiser.

I have a few newbie questions:

Is there a maintenance guide/schedule/checklist for these boats?

Is there a good place online to order parts?

Does anybody know what size steering wheel I would need to purchase? Previous owner broke it but I can find a replacement by make and model it seems I need to know the shaft size and overall size.

A good place to order a service manual?

I haven't picked up the boat yet (I get to next week) but I am preparing to do all the necessary learning, maintenance and repairs to get it ready for vacation time a couple weeks after I pick it up.

Welcome to Club Sea Ray, and the joys of boat ownership!

The only thing I can suggest, if you have not already, register at the Sea Ray website and you should be able to find the original owners manual/documents for your boat in the archives. Prior to this boat I have, I had a 1990 180 BR, and was able to get the manual from the archives - it had been scanned in, but was better than nothing.

Good luck, and let us know how you make out with the boat once you get it and in the water.

I too am new to the site. I just bought the same model 1993 170 BR. I have had it out on the water 2 times on my own, since the test ride with the previous owner. I am thrilled with the boat!

I look forward to keeping up with this forum, as I have similar questions.
