So i am concluding that searays new boats designed with zeus drive will only have zeus as a power train. They are expanding the cabin to make use of the Engine room space saved by using zeus. There is no way they can offer two different drives. Also that large ugly window is finding its way into other size boats. alot wtf's..... oh and the new dash designs.. HOLY heck..... its truly sad ...

Rob, we just went and looked at the new 44 with Zeus drives, and loved it, loved everything about it except the uncomfortable passenger seat.. it doesn't lean abck enouogh and the seat is too short and catches your legs in a bad spot, other then that it was a very beautiful boat, even the dash was great, I had no problem with it at all, just wish it would still have the dual controls like my 320, brass knobs and all. It's all drive by wire now, which kinda scares me, but it's new technology ya know...? We wlaked away from it based on price, still 660,000 dollars ridiculous... We'll be keeping the 320 for awhile longer...Its cheaper to use right now in the price of HIGH deisel prices...

Rob,
I agree about the seat . I think it was designed for there overseas customers. The Pricing is still in the stratosphere. I personally dont get it . There not even trying to move product. Very disheartening . Some new boats will be out soon enough , maybe that will shake things up....

My wife didn't lke that seat either. My sales guy was surprised that she just didn't like it, but hated it and wouldn't take the boat no matter what the deal would have been.

All electronic diesels are fly-by-wire at some point. There are no throttles or fuel control valves that directly control engine power. It's all totally and completely electronic. So what's the difference is the electronic controller is at the helm or mounted to the engines and connected to the helm with push-pull cables?

With Mercury's history on new products, if I were Sea Ray, I wouldn't be putting all my diesel eggs on the one Zeus basket.

Best regards,
