Dealer installed a new battery and 2 days later I noticed some water on top that appeared to have leaked from under the fill caps. Is this normal, maybee they overfilled it a tad? Any ideas?
Thanks

Gosh, almost two weeks and no reply. You must feel unworthy.

Well, you're not - I have no idea what happened but I'll take a guess. Providing there's no leak from above I'd have to agree. The dealer overfilled and with the boat in the water or maybe on a trailer it's sittiing at an angle and one or more cells leaked. No, it's certainly not normal even during charging. Clean it with a paper towel (it's acid so dispose of properly), pull the caps and check the level. If a cell is overfilled you're going to have to suck the excess out (use a turkey baster maybe) and dispose of it.

Good luck - Bob
