Wife and I recently puchased a2004 Ambejack 290 with twin 350 V-Drives. Just recently we noticed a reaccuring "alarm" sound while engines are on underway. It beeps for a second or two then goes off for couple of minutes. Fuel is at 1/4 tank each side, do not see any other issues. What is it telling us?

Check the drive gear oil reservoir on each of the motors, one might be a little low.

Good Luck

On my 340DA, i get a low fuel alarm right around 1/4 tank. Its a pain in the neck!
Do you have Smart gauges?
How is the temp and pressure?

I get a low fuel alarm at 10% remaining, but I'm pretty sure that's user-adjustable.

The MerCruiser warning system will sound continuously if you have low oil pressure, high engine temperature, or too low water pressure. It will beep intermittently if your transmission fluid is too hot, and it will sound two beeps per minute if a sensor fault is determined. (per the manual)

Not sure if you have the System Smart Craft, but if you do, you will get warnings that pretty much tell you what is wrong. I believe this is where the low fuel warning is displayed.
