:smt038Sea Ray is continiously coming out with Hot new

product!!! A 50 Sundancer on Page 17 of the Sea Ray Yacht Expo ad!!! Nice style, will see about the interior. Has anyone been to a Yacht Expo with Sea Ray?

Yes, several............

It used to be a big party where you leisurely enjoyed seeing the new line, riding on a few boats and Sea Ray's hospitality. Dealers footed the entire bill to get you there and home.

Now days, this is the premier selling event for Sea Ray. If you have an interest in a new boat, put on your negotiating shoes, grab your checkbook and get ready. You will never buy a Sea Ray cheaper than you can at Yacht Expo. Sea Ray's goal is to fill factory capacity during the time when northern dealers will not take boats......Jan- March. The factories sit there eating up overhead bleeding red ink thru big veins and the production of any boat during that period means cash flow and overhead recovery. Now, Sea Ray isn't going to give you a boat, but they aren't dumb either. They have you captured and you will get put in a box with your dealer and a factory rep with the juice to make deals and you pressed to close on a boat. Be well prepared, and a good negotiator can cut tremendous deals.

Absolutely the best deal is on a left over previous model year boat already at your dealer. There is rebate money which Sea Ray usually sweetens....all the dealer has to do is commit for a new boat of approximately the same size to be produced from Jan to March.

This event is for serious buyers. If you are only looking for a party weekend, don't go, you will be disappointed.

Hey Frank,

Do you think, that you buy another (new)boat in your live?

Peter.

Not likely, Peter.

Although I've made offers on a 510DA and a 500DA because they were "special". Neither seller was as interested in selling as I was in buying. In retrospect, the 45 is a perfect boat for us and the way we use it. My engines are very efficient when you run at 65-75% power and not many boaters can run a 45-50' boat with as low an operating cost as 450 owners can. We are gradually replacing the replacables to keep her fresh, and with the prices Sea Ray seems to think new boats are worth, I'm not a buyer. Our dealer comits for one or more of the boats used for demos at Yacht Expo because he gets a huge discount and I sometimes go along to bring one of the boats back....we are only about 3 days from factory by water.

here's a pic-comparing the current model 52 to the new model

Looks very similar to the 55, nice lines and more front glass. Seems like it will replace the 52, the 48 has a pretty good following so I would doubt if they replace that one especially since Sea Ray has introduced the 48 with Zeus drives for '09.
