I recently updated my dash board. I got rid of the autopilot and old radar and made a little closet with the space that the autopilot used to take up. I will probably regret doing it in wood in a few years but I think it looks really nice now. No stain, just Sepele wood and about 20 coats of Epifanes varnish and new Faria Beade gauges. I'm saving the lower half of the dash to have something to occupy my time next winter.

I like the clean dash look as well very nice looking.I just redid my dash on my 86 390 EC basically the same way with a little different approach.

I have to ask the GPS being that close to the compass has got to be affecting it ?
Otherwise I like it good job !

It hasn't been a problem. I didn't want to put it over to the left as it would interfere with my new storage area. It is a convenient place to keep my charts, binoculars, and spotlight for easy access while manning the helm.
