This was one of my spring projects before it was splashed. Solid Vinyl, Teak and Holly made by Karndean. I was real happy the way it turned out.
I also upgraded the bulkhead TV to a 32" model.

Looks excellent great job!

the joints are small strips of flooring, same thickness as the floor. It's just like putting down a teak and holly wood floor, only it's vinyl. each plank and feature strip is separate and is installed piece by piece. It even looks better in person.

Wow that looks amazing... looks like a brand new boat, awesome job. :smt038

Wow that looks really good! Is there no storage below the floor? And your lighting also looks great, are you using all LEDs?

All Led's
The hatches are still in the floor but you can't see them unless you are standing right over them. We use the hatches more now than we did with the carpet in the boat. It was always a pain to remove the runners to get to the hatches.Which is one of the reasons I installed the floor. I could never understand why there were runners over the carpet. Why have carpet if you can't see it?

Sorry for the 101 questions but we have 3 kids and the carpet is getting a workout. We all hate the feel of the runner underfoot so we rarely use it. Do you have photos of how you tackled the corners near the forward birth? Also did you do your aft cabin area?

I'll shoot some pictures of the corners in the next day or so. I didn't do the aft cabin yet. I had planned to do it but ran out of time. I'll probably do it next year.
If you decide to go this route i'm sure you won't regret it. I originally thought that I would throw an area rug down on the floor but the Admiral liked it the way it was. It's easier to keep clean than carpet. I'm looking for a solution to the steps and haven't found anything yet.
I was also able to get a close matching piece of bullnose to finish the step down to the aft berth.
I also was a commercial floor installer in the 80's for a while so it came easy to me.
let me know if i can help.

Sounds good, this is on my list of next projects. Great job!
