Hello.

Firts, I´m sorry for my bad english, I´m from Spain, Europe.

And I want to know how switch works right with 2 batteries.

1. When I start the engine and during it is running, switch must be always in "BOTH"?
Or I have to alternate between "1" and "2"?
If last is the correct response, only the selected battery will be charged, or both?

2. When boat is anchored and I am listen the radio, switch must be in "1" or in "2" to avoid drain all batteries. Is it ok?

Thank you very much.

Welcome to CSR. It's nice to have someone from Spain on our board.

I would alternate between each battery every time you go out. If (by slight chance) that battery gets discharged by listening to the radio you can always switch to the other battery for re-starting your engine. The alternator will only recharge the battery selected on your switch.

There was a recent posting where we discussed the subject of the battery switch. You can read the contents of that posting here and I think it will answer your questions. http://www.byowneryachts.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3832&highlight=switch

Congratulations on the new Sea Ray as well.

Thank you.

It´s really a nice boat. I´m very happy. And Sumbrella (bimini) is fantastic. In Andalusian, south of Spain, sun is so hard...

But, if I choose "BOTH", alternator will recharge both of two?

Best regards.

That's my understanding but you should read SeaRay Jim's comment about that in the other posting.

Hi again.
I sent an email to Searay Service. I´m waiting an "official response" for this issue.
I´ll paste it here for everybody.
Regards.
