New 2009 280 Sea Ray Sundancer is this a good deal?

DSC04649 copy.JPGHello,

I am new here as this is my first post... I just recently purchased a new 2009 280 Sea Ray Sundancer with the following options for around 100k. The boat had 2 hours on it. I brought the extended 4 year warranty as well. Is there anything your old heads can add suggest I do beside a water safety class. I haven't had a boat that is this big before. I am very excited it's a beautiful vessel and the twin 5.0's give her some giggy up! Thanks for all your input.

Sounds good! Well equipped!

Welcome to CSR!

Sounds nice. People on this enjoy pictures so we'd love to see some.

I think it sounds like a good deal for a new boat. Compare it to a new 2010 or 2011 310 Sundancer and you will see. In 2010, the boat was redesigned but the 280 became the 310, the previous 260 became the 280, etc. Sounds like it is pretty well optioned out. Welcome to CSR!

Welcome aboard

For a left over 09 I think you did well for yourself. Welcome to the world of Sea Ray. Did you join he owners club yet?

Welcome to CSR. How does a new boat that has all the right options sit for 2 years before selling? Is the market really that bad out there? I thought they were improving?

Congrats on new vessel she looks awesome! My recommendation is to put together a ditch bag. Specific to your boating area and needs. Talk to a few dock neighbors and see what you will need. It's always a good place to start. I think you may find some good ideas her is you use the search option. Calm Seas to yah!

Hey there Bridog.... Yes the market is that bad this boat was on display in the showroom never sold. They also have a 2009 350 that's for sale.... I think there sending it to Dallas on consignment. On another note I am originally from NJ and growing up I use to go to the Brick township beach. I still have family a brother and sister in NJ and visit a few times a year. I love my new boat it's beautiful... here's where I keep her Lake Ouachita. http://lakeouachita.org/
