New 2007 40 Sundancer

Who has this boat...either a 2006 or a 2007?? Did you get gas?? What do you think about it? Also I am interested if anyone got the hard door for the midcabin so there are two separate staterooms and what it looks like. Also if anyone knows is this a new boat as of 2006, or was it just renamed from something else?

I was on this boat last summer (2006 model) during a Sea
Ray rendezvous. I believe that this boat replaces the 39. The boat looked very nice inside. The boat I was on had diesel engines and performed very well. The dealer was actually using this boat to teach the wives how to dock the boat. I did not see if it had the privacy door for the mid cabin.
My slip neighbour also has this boat (he brought it up from Florida)and a fellow who had a 38 last year (my 2006) traded it in for a new 40 with diesels.
Seems like a popular model.

Only do that when talking to your friends. At the marina.....it's about 27-28 feet.... :grin:

I have a 2005 390 gas. It's the exact same as the new 40DA without the hard door for the mid cabin.

Excellent boat - no regrets.

What is your cruise speed/fuel burn and max speed/fuel burn look like with the gas? Did you get the 8.2 or 8.2 HO (420HP)??

My cruise speed is between 20 and 25 MPH at 3200 - 3500 rpm. Gas @ 32-36 GPH I think.

I have the 8.1 Horizons 370 hp not the HO.

Is the door in the aft cabin standard on the 2007 models or an option? This is an awesome boat.
