So I have this grey and black wire attached to my steering assembly in the boat. I believe it's the neutral safety switch. Black goes to ground and the grey goes to the small negative post on the coil on my old motor. I'm in the middle of an engine swap figured I'd make my first post here 
1981 SRV195 had a 228 merc 305 SBC in it and I'm replacing it with a 350 SBC with a little bit different electronics. The new engine has the Thunderbolt IV setup where the old engine did not. Big thanks for any help!
