I struck rocks with my boat and the strbd engine died instantly, in gear. Trying to restart there is no power to starter solenoid. I see nothing on the transmission except the shift solenoids and they will click when shift lever is moved. I haven't looked under the shift levers yet. I'm wondering where the neutral safety switch is. Anyone have any ideas?

If you have the helm controls to the left for transmission (no throttles, those should be to the right), the safety switches are located under the chrome cover and/or accessible from the bottom (yellow wires with red tracer). Going off memory, hopefully someone else can chime in.

You might even have two safety switches; ones on the helm that Mancavell describes as well as on your transmission. I have a Hurth ZF drive and they are on the front of the transmission as well as at the helm.

Update: Was at the boat last weekend. Found the neutral safety's under the shift levers but they weren't the problem. I called around until I found a skinny mechanic that could crawl in along the portside of port engine. The problem was a simple relay upstream of the starter solenoid. Went to a place that sold snowplow parts and got one.
