I have what I would describe as "hard" water spots on my windshield. I can remove them if I use Flitz polish with my rotary buffer but I know there has to be a easier way. Does anybody use a liquid spray-on type remover? Any ideas are appreciated.

Zaino as a glass cleaner that works great, and just requires you to wipe it on, let it haze, and buff it off.

Go to West Marine and pick up some Ducky Hard Water Spot Remover.....it works great. No rubbing, no scrubbing. Just spray on, wipe off, follow up with non-ammonia glass cleaner.

.

Or you can use white vinegar. Pour some on, let it sit for a while and wipe it off. It might take a few tries, but it works and it's cheap!

We use triple zero steel wool on our classic cars when they're difficult to clean...works great on aluminum and stainless too. Just be sure to rinse off the small steel fragments it leaves behind or they will rust and you'll have to start all over...

Acetic acid. Works great! Commonly found in distilled white vinegar.
