Rob,

There is always swimplatforms.com. I seem to remember others here that have used them.

I have a nice original one like yours on my 82 210 Cuddy that I would like to replace with an earlier solid teak swim platform. I like the solid teak over the fiberglass with teak inserts. It is a lot lighter, no core to rot, a lot of openings to let water pass through and I just personally like the looks more. It is an off white color.

We also have one our our 82 Sundancer that we would like to replace with a solid teak one too. This one actually was pushed loose from the brackets when a large wave smacked it up from the bottom side. Again, the teak allows a lot more water to pass through when smacked by a wave. I used two runs of composite decking undeneath to secure it to the brackets. It made it very stout but added a lot of weight to an already very heavy platform. I did not weigh it but it has to be every bit of 80 lbs before the added composite.

The composite is pretty good stuff, nice and solid. The fiberglass platform I took off and repaired has a wood core and it may have been water logged being some of the weight.

Just my 2 cents but certainly would love to trade the fiberglass one for a solid teak one from an older Sea Ray.

Good luck.

Kevin

Try ebay. I got an older all teak one in good shape. I just had to refinish it. Now it looks really nice, in the garage. I have to mount it now....

I do watch for them now and again. Speaking of Ebay, there has been one of the fiberglass ones with the teak inserts off of an early 80's Searay. It has been on there a good long while and priced pretty high. $350 is what it keeps being listed for I think.
