I have an oil leak where the oil drain hose are connected to the oil pan.
My plan was to disconnect the hose and put in an oil plug instead.
I’m turn the connector but it only goes round and round and will not go out.
I thought it was threaded in the oil pan.
Does anyone know how it is mounted?

I think this is the same as the one I have.

What a mess.....somebody sure made a major attempt to stop it from leaking. Those fittings are crimped in. A new pan is the right way to address it.

I’m going to buy a new oil pan. Can’t understand why former owner have done this instead of buying a new oil pan. When you repair something you should do it in a proper way.

Your preaching to the Choir with that
Or the boater who installed 1 inch alum angle to hold his canvas down. Threw them in the lagoon and made this instead. They have a variety of applications.Have a holder made for your cooler and retain it with these instead of installing the 4 corners to stub your toes on . When not in use you still have a flat deck/swim platform.
A rod rack holder across the transom, when not needed, remove the pins and your back to a flat surface. Endless uses for a clean , flat ending.

This pin is called a "Avi-Pin" and the receiver is knurled SS drilled for the pin size.
Drill a 1/2 inch hole, finish with dremel for a tight press fit, install with 5 min epoxy
