Need new shed

When I bought house in 97, it has a plywood shed at back of property. Standard suburban lot. It’s junk now. Holes rotted in sides and roof. Home Depot has nice plastic sheds these days. Need ideas how to have this junk disassembled, hauled away, new installed.
Does HD do it all? Need find an Angi list guy? Don’t know where to start.

Not sure on how to get rid of your existing shed but the plastic rigs still need a solid foundation/floor (wood typically). If your existing shed still has a good floor consider removing just the walls and roof, keep the floor to put your new one on...

Not sure HD will do the installation but you can ask. These things are really not that complicated to assemble. As far as getting rid of the old shed, maybe try 1800gotjunk if they are available in your area. I replaced a privacy fence about 4 years ago, and used then to pickup and haul off the debris. You will probably have to disasseble the shed in order for them to take it.
 
How much $$ are you going to spend on this plastic Home Depot shed? Why not invest the extra money into a real garage?? Then you’ll have something nice and it will certainly add to the value of your home. I’m not sure what kind of neighborhood you live in but if it was me I’d burn the old shed.

I was in a similar situation a few years ago. I placed a sign at the end of the driveway and an ad in the local paper. “Free Shed - You haul away”. Had someone stop immediately after putting up sign. Received more than 100 calls from the ad in the paper. Condition of the shed was poor to fair. Doors needed work, floor had some soft spots. First person that stopped wanted it. They hauled it away two days later.

There is zero space for a garage. Moved here from Midwest where everyone has a garage. In Maryland it’s a rare luxury.

If you need a shed you have too much crap….. purge and hire out
 
I just replaced a Keter that Hurricane Ian needed more than me. 8x6 pretty standard size. The foundation was fine, 2x6 outer frame and stringers with 5/6 boards for the floor. That whole thing sits on concrete blocks to keep it from being wet during our summer squalls.
1500ish delivered. Took me 8 hours by myself to assemble, while doing other things too. 75 steps, and don't cut corners, or you are back to undoing what you guessed on. The new one is taller. 8' peak. I joked with all the neighbors that if we took all of the shed pieces around the property and put 'em in a pile, we could probably get 2 complete sheds out of it.

The Admiral and I just added it up; in the 35 years we've had children, we've had one 6 month period where we didn't have children living with us. They say you can't be taken advantage of unless you allow it...

Rather than a "regular" wood floor, I screed the ground flat and level with a long 2X4, laid down a sheet of heavy plastic film, filled it with 12X12X1.5" pavers, topped that with sheets of OSB, then built the shed over that. No settling or decay of the floor after that, and it'll support just about anything you could think to park in there.
 
Does Bagster do pickups in your area? I've done like 10 of these when I don't have enough to fill up a roll-off container.

Son is in Tempe. Last winter, daughter spent in Puerto Rico. This year going Texas. Then Canada for next summer. They gone but their stuff isn’t.
 
When your kids get back just let them know that they made a nice donation to Goodwill. Namely, all their stuff. You can only be used if you allow it.

OMFG! True. Every closet, room, everywhere. Only time I can eliminate is if wife out of town. Daughter has a bulldog. My family room now contains dog bowls, dog blankets, dog food bags, dog toys. I don’t own a dog. And daughter and dog are down in NC. Dear god if I touch it. It will be a Lorraine Bobbit experience.
