Need Help Please

It seems that you all have always been able to help me out when I need it so here we go again. I have a 96 210 Signature with a 5.7l LX EFI that I just had installed and after further testing and trying to get it to fire. I need the fuel pump that goes inside the vapor separation tank part # 827682T, which is not a cheap part at all. I was wondering if anyone out there either has one they do not need anymore or knew of some salvage yards I could call. Everything around the Kansas City area is dry so i thought I would reach out here. I don't care where in the country it is located i just know that there are used ones out there that I can get cheaper than $780 .

I always wondered, with Searay being such a prolific boat, why there is not someone trying to monopolize the used part market like they do with semi trucks? Sure seems MM has all of us under their thumb with parts and accessories. Just a thought.

My neighbor is a mechanic for Bass Pro, he told me that Mercruiser has the rights to this part so no one can reproduce an after market piece
