I just purchased a 2004 260 sundancer. I have owned 4 other SR and never had a problem of water entering the v-berth storage area, under the bow cushion. I found over 1 gallon of water in the bow storage area.
I have checked all windows, hatch and anchor locker. No indications of any leaks. I would appreciate any input as to how the water could have got in that area.
Thank you in advance

Get a helper working on the outside with a hose - highest pressure nozzle you have.

Have them work the spray around every window from every direction they can while you are inside. Surprising where water will seep in.

Remember water will come in at a point - but then will disperse. Had a leak on the 47 DB, finally found it. Was a super easy fix.

Also check all the screws for the bow rails and even the canvas snap screws of there are any in that area. If you have an anchor locker, be sure that is draining properly.

Don't know if your boat is anything lime my 360, but i found water in the same area. It turned out that if i filled the fresh water tank to the top water would end up bow bilge area. Anymore i only fill it just past the 3/4 mark and haven't seen water in the cabin since

Check thoroughly with a hose around the rub rails. I had a nagging leak in a 280DA that would put a gallon of water in the port fwd storage locker. After the dealer pulling the windshield, interior cabinetry, and other items that never fixed the leak I pulled the port rub rail and sealed all the screw holes, etc with 3m 4000UV, it hasn't leaked a drop. If that is the problem, search through the site as there are some detailed instructions on how to properly re-seal it.
