this is my new boat
I'm looking for a outdrive. I found one but I want to know if it will work for mine. I have a 1985 with a 5.7L 350 mag and the out drive i found came off of a 5.0L 302. The guy said it was off of a 1991, he all so said its a alpha 1 gen. 1 . would it be a gen 1? did they switch to gen 2 around that year? how would i be able to tell if the outdrive works when i go look at it. is there a way for me to rotate something to see if the gears spin freely?
