need big help asap motor down

Let me get this right-

Dude shows up asking for free advice. Is given good free advice. Doesn't like good free advice. Dude gets crappy with everyone.

If that's the case, why is anyone even talking to the guy?
 
OK, So I am the only guy who has read this thread andthinks you guys have been taken for a ride?????I think someone is having themselves a belly laugh!
 
speaking of farm animals yea there a few jack asses on here who want to give typing lessons english lessons spelling lessons i have no trouble reading any of this take your meds and maybe you can read it tooooooo again thanks to all who gave advice and tried to help iam taking the boat to someone who knows how to fix it i dont think its to many of you since you said omc and merc are to diff motors just 2 diff companies same motor if not why will everything interchange? and yes the still produce chevy parts that is all it is .... maybe did get in over my head but oh well nother life lesson learned but you should not give advice if you dont know yourself what your talkin bout
 
Seems to me that there are a lot of people on here who think that this forum is for the USA only.
Never given a moments consideration that the internet is world wide. Never given any consideration the education standards around the world are not the same as the USA, and not even considered that English may NOT be a persons first language. In some countries, education hardly exists.

As for availability of parts for boats, cars, anything, you guys in the USA are blessed, you can buy everything off the shelf for next to nothing. Here, in Australia, and I would imagine the situation is the same in many places or even worse, most parts are 10 times the prices you guys pay IF the part is in the country. I had to wait 16 weeks to get riser gaskets at $30 each + tax + import duty, and I needed 4 ! SO we have to make do, make our own.

So cut jimjj a break, he is struggling, you don't know what the situation is, but at least he got out there and asked for help. The least we can do is give it. With 10,498 members here , we could all pitch in $2 and freight him a new motor anywhere in the world, and that wouldn't break the bank.

Your post got me thinking, maybe it is a really dumb question, but do you not have boat manufactures Australia?
 
They don't even have cars in Australia... they get around by camel. Damn.. I just mentioned another farm animal.

Well I guess we don't know the answer to your question as he didn't put any info in his signature line!
 
Why don't you PM him and offer your help...financial or otherwise. I'm not sure how your long wait for parts in Australia has any relevance with regard to the problems encountered with the original poster by other members of this forum....perhaps there's a niche in the market for a MerCruiser parts distributor in OZ...
 
finally thanks Cris Dauth for fianlly posting a response that makes sense... yes iam in the u.s..a but i think more and more everyday of going to another country i have always wanted to go down under LOL and yes the idea ofeveryone on this site donate $2 and buy me a new engine is the greatest idea and suggestion i have heard on here yet WAY to GO CRIS DAUTH maybe that would make up for the rudness and outright disrespect i have gotten on here from some let me say some members you know who you are,,, any way i can ever help you cris let me know mate thanks agian and to the person that keeps saying this is a joke send me your $4500 and see if your laughing then:smt038

It ain't me... I'm just trying to keep my nose clean and not mention farm animals... I think I'm one infraction/farm animal from being booted.
