Has anyone upgraded to a better pump ? I have the Shurflo 2095. ITs noisey as heck and keeps crappy pressure. Tag says 3.3 gpm. any thoughts ?

Rob,
Same thing happened on my 03 last year. I went with the Aqua King premium by SHurflo:

Better than the original in terms of pressure, but we still hook up to city water whenever we can-this allows me to avoid complaints from the boss abouthow hard it is to wash her hair on the boat.

Mounting holes are pretty close, so you don't have to make lots of new holes in the boat.

I basically replaced mine with what skip used but I have two of them in parallel. I also put a bigger expansion tank (the stainless one from shurflo) to reduce the pump cycling problems that occur with having more pump capacity than what is being requested on the circuit.

I never use the city water hookup as I can usually get more pressure by peeing into the hose... how's that for an image?

LOl thanx gary.... I think....

Appreciate all the feed back.... Local guy has the shurflo , so ill give that a try.

Thanx again

I definitely would look at the micro-controlled variable speed pumps. I upgraded mine (I had to remove the expansion tank in order for it to work properly) and it works great. My fiance can wash her hair whenever she wants.

BTW, I wondered why I had very little pressure when hooked up to city water, so I investigated the pressure regulator that SR installed. While they put 50psi pumps on board, they used a 30psi regulator for the city water inlet. I changed it out and it works much better. There are still places that don't have enough pressure, but now if it is there, she can wash her hair on the city water.
