My boat currently has a Attwood Turbo 4000 bilge fan. It is starting to get a little noisy and I thought I would replace it over the winter.

I see that there are several Attwood bilge fans, including a Series II Turbo 4000 (which I assume replaces what I have).

Does anyone have any feedback on the Attwood 4000 Turbo Series II fan or possibly suggestions on a different replacement fan altogether (even something that is not an Attwood brand)?

Thanks

About two years ago I replaced mine with these:
Jabsco 4" 250 Cfm Flexmount Heavy
35770-0092
Hodges Marine
2
$149.44

$298.88
duty blowers

These are squirrel cage blowers, very quiet and can be ran continuously. When I run the generator all day I keep them on.

Sorry about that. I guess my spread sheet did not transfer properly.

I installed 2 of these yellowtail blowers. They move the air really well, but they are very noisy and loud. When I turn them on it sounds like I have a small jet engine in my bilge!

Thanks for the replies.

Anyone have any experience with the Attwood turbo fans? Or maybe the Rule Fans?

We do a lot of wakeboarding at slower speeds so we run the fan a lot. I would be interested in the quietest fan I can get.

Thanks

I installed the same Yellowtail unit as akbassking - mine is a bit noisy as well but much quieter than the original unit. Definitely moves a lot of air and is rated at being able to run continuously.

You are not going to get the air flow with bladed fans and yes they are noisy. When I install the Jabsco fans, not only were they quiet but I could run then all day. You can not compare bladed fans to squirrel cage fans. One other thing they do pull more current.
