I came across this in a magazine the other day and ordered one. It came today and looks pretty neat, very heavy construction. I figured after 30 years of using old milk jugs with the tops cut off that never work quite right this was worth trying. Should do well for the 7 vertically mounted filters (5 fuel and 2 oil) on my boat.

Thanks for posting this. It's exactly what I need. I ordered 1 for me and 1 for a boating buddy. I'll let you know how they work.

Great idea for an upright application. I hope milk jugs stick around for awhile for those horizontal mounts. Thanks for sharing!

Make sure you look at the clearance of the oil filter to the exhaust manifold. I know there is very little clearance on my big blocks with the filter mounted on the exhaust riser. Based on the info provided I do not think it would work for my application. I need to bend and flex a plastic tray to catch the oil.

Good Idea, wish I had thought of it.

i use a supermarket plastic bag and wee-wee pads (available from petco, etc.) or a diaper judiciously positioned beneath. this gadget is nice too!
