I’ve taken it several times over the years, college, work, etc. Anyone ever take it? If there is a lot of response, maybe it would be interesting to have a poll to see where everyone stands…just a thought.

We took it recently at work, and it just confirmed the suspicions that we all had of each other's personality types.....the OCDs really were.

We used personality profile tests as an employment screening tool in a consulting practice until we were sued for discrimination. Lord only knows how much defending that suit would have cost us, had we not found the applicant made up part of his work history.

We deduced that the tests were interesting, but pretty much only told us the obvious which everyone, except the guy taking the test, already knows. We changed our methods and started requiring the applicant's wife to be present for and participate in the second interview. It was well worth the added travel expense, and unless your head is in a bucket, will tell you more than any personality test possibly can .

Note to self. You can’t be single or a woman to work for Frank. Umm, or gay.....unless you are a woman + gay + married to another woman then you can have a second interview.

    Now I got it!

I took that test and I fell into the "Rational Mastermind" category. hahaha

    some of my fellow masterminders

Alan Greenspan, Ben Bernanke, Dwight D. Eisenhower, General Ulysses S. Grant, Frideriche Nietsche, Niels Bohr, Peter the Great, Stephen Hawking, John Maynard Keynes, Lise Meitner, Ayn Rand and Sir Isaac Newton are examples of Rational Masterminds.

but you guys already knew that.

Some nasty fellows you keep company.

    Wrong test!
    Myers Briggs scores Introverted/Extroverted, iNtuitive/Sensing,
Thinking/Feeling, and Judging/Perceiving. Depending on the combination of those characteristics a person has defines a personality type, such as an INTJ, ESFP, etc. (To avoid using two I's they the N in intuitive.)

    Best regards,
    Frank

Come on, don’t be shy. I'll go first (knowing that some smart ass comments will follow) I am ISTJ, but will tell you that I am very borderline E…there you have it!

Ok I took a couple of the tests I saw online

    ENTJ

is the result I got. It seems to be a decent result, except I will not forsake family or fun specifically to work more. But that might be a generational thing.

Those tests are all crap anyway, imo. Such a small grain of who anyone is, answering yes or no to questions in the comfort of a chair and picking between black and white and absolutes. Fun, but crap.

I have done Myers-Briggs several times during my 20 year career. ESTJ here

It is a great tool not just at work but also between spouses. You can have some fun with it. Another one I personally like a lot is FIRO-B. Most others I have done over the past 20 years are rather weak or contrived.

Thats why these tests are so silly...every personality result has some iconic figures of greatness.

In all honesty, they should show the bad people for each of these...Jeffery Dahmer was ISTJ, Jack the ripper was ESTJ etc...:smt001
