If any of you have read my post about how remote the lake is that we are and the lack of any lifts- cranes - trailers to get the boat off the water on the north end of Lake Powell.
Well I solved that issue.

To have a new trailer built would be around 35k to 40k.

I picked this Beauty up today for 6k. 4x 8000lbs Axles, overall length 45 ft all adjustable bunks.

This is the actual trailer that delivered our boat to the lake new in 2001. She needs a little TLC and I will be doing that this fall. Just hauled it back to SLC from Colorado 420 miles and she pulls like a dream. Over all very happy with the purchase and I no longer feel like I’m held hostage if we had to pull the boat.

What a beast, Good on yoou. Nice to have independence. You can probably rent it out occasionally and make it pay its entier freight. Thanks for sharing

Sweet, I would love to have it.

Wow. That's a pretty serious trailer. Congrats. I love having a trailer for my 290DA, but that's like a toy next to your 460.

I have always maintained I would have a trailer for any size boat I own, for that very reason. Nice find.

Looks like your "gonna need a bigger truck!" I really like the way the builder put in the adjustable bunks. Very nice.

I have a deal with the service shop that they can rent it from me. That will off set some of the cost as this will be the only empty trailer at our end of the lake to handle 35 to 48 foot boats.

Is there a ramp long enough to get the boat onto that trailer? M

Yes and no. When the water is up 30 feet or more the main ramp gets it done for all the big boats. With the water down this year we are using a auxiliary ramp that is asphalt/ road base. For boats 31 feet and above you have to dunk what ever the tow vehicle is well past the front tires. The service shop has an extra long semi truck that they have made all the necessary changes to it that they can back about 25 feet into the water.
If I was to pull ours I would hire them for the truck .The big issue right now when they do get backed in that far you only draft about 4feet of water.

They are pulling 75 ft house boats the last couple of week.

If I get a chance I will take some pictures and post them.

Mine has the large screw adjustable bunks as well. I love them and hate them. They have a habit of moving when going down the road. So I wired them and they have stayed put so far. I have yet to find a lock that would fit them.20210724_195002.jpg 20210724_195028.jpg

Yep. When no boat on they can pop out when you hit a bump at 80mph. I have always bungie cord them on my old transport trailer I had before this one .
