Hi everybody! I'm super excited and can hardly contain my enthusiasm but I just bought my very first boat! I have been cyber stalking this boat for 2 mos. While I saved up my Nickles and Dimes And finally got my hands on it yesterday! My question is this.. It has a snapon cockpit cover that has been patched a couple of times but a recent tornado in Branson really ripped up the top beyond repair. Is this an Item that I can order through Sea Ray or can a canvas shop reproduce it snap for snap and stripe for stripe if I let them use the old one as a template..and part 2 of the question is this..is the snap on cockpit cover Trailerable?? Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!

One Very Happy Husker!

Sea Ray doesn't stock and cannot order replacement canvas for boats this long out of production. Most of us with older boats have thought of ways to improve Sea Ray's original canvas design anyway, and jump at the chance to get replacement canvas made by a custom shop, and that is where you are. The fabric is available in 100's of colors to any canvas and upholstery shop under the brand name Sunbrella, from there is just a matter of cutting and sewing up the replacement.

Enjoy your new boat.................

One of my favorite boats, Great design. Post up some pics. BTW I trailer with my cockpit cover on with no issues. Not all the time but if it looks like it might rain I put it on.

Thanks you guys. As soon as I get it all buffed up and purdified I'll be sure and post some pics. As I am a Big Sea Ray Fan..I never looked at any other brand of boat..and the Pachanga has some of the sportiest lines in the cruiser category. As a father of 4 young kids, it was an easy decision to purchase a Go-Fast Boat for them..but the Kid in me really likes the Big Block/Bravo Combo for strength and power! Everyone I know who has paired a Big Block with an Alpha has eventually run into problems. If anyone is ever in the Table Rock area, hit me up and we can hit the lake for some Deluxe R&R!

Congratulations. You will love the boat. I have a '87 454 mag with Bravo 1 .I replaced the Alpha about 5 years ago and have not looked back. It is a much better outdrive. The P-22 is a great boat. Enjoy.
